Whether I am in my art studio, writing children's books, or speaking in front of an audience, I am always striving to create an experience that delights, educates, or takes us to a place we may not have been before. A new thought, a new way to look at things, or something that helps us to see and feel the world around us in a positive way.
Reflective photography encourages me to look at things in a new or unusual way, giving me a new perspective on the way I see the world around me. The photos are best mounted on metal allowing the colors to dance and shine.
In mixed media and painting, I love the unpredictable nature of using patinas, mixing mediums, and pour painting. It requires me to follow the painting in the direction that it takes rather than being too prescriptive.

Learn and grow with the Sophie Series
The Sophie Series is a labor of love that flourished during 2020 and the global pandemic. There was time to focus on something I had wanted to do for a long time. Write children's picture books that are fun and easy to read and give kids and their parents an opportunity to discuss what the characters experienced and how they may relate to their own experiences. As a certified coach, I want to offer tools for parents to deepen the conversations with their kids and maybe even get some new perspectives themselves.
